AEW Dynamite 2019 – 10/16/19 – 16th October 2019 Live Result

Show starts, Christopher Daniels and Frank Kazarian make their way out to the ring seeing this Pentagon and Fénix comes out and attacks them at the entrance ramp. Medical staff come out to check on Daniels as he was brutally attacked. Scorpio Sky takes Daniel’s place in the match for the Tag Team Titles Tournament.

Match 1: AEW World Tag Team Titles Tournament First Round Match: SoCal Uncensored (Frank Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) vs. Best Friends (Chuckie T and Beretta).

Bell rings, both Chuckie T and Beretta frequently tag each other and attacked Kazarian. Kazarian desperately tagged Sky, Sky entered and attacked both T and Beretta. Later, as Kazarian and Sky delivered a suicide dive to T and Beretta. Sky then tried to pin Beretta as he kicked out at two counts.

Sky tags Kazarian, Kazarian attacks Beretta, seeing this T tags himself in and hits Kazarian on his jaw. Quickly Beretta hits and chucking knee to Sky any throws him out of the ring. Then both T and Beretta attacks Kazarian and goes for the pin as he kicks out at two counts.

T then tags Beretta, Beretta tries to deliver piledriver to Kazarian at the ringside to which, Kazarian inturn slams Beretta back first. Seeing this Sky tags himself and hits a body slam to Beretta and pins him for victory.

Winner: SoCal Uncensored (Frank Kazarian and Scorpio Sky).

Match 2: Santana and Ortiz vs. John Silver and Alex Reynolds.

Bell rings, both Santana and Ortiz dominated Silver at the staring moments of the match. Santana then carries Silver on his shoulder and Ortiz then hits and flying neck breaker and pins him for a quick victory.

Winner: Santana and Ortiz.

After the match, AEW Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho appears on the titantron and challenges Young Bucks for a huge tag team match, where Santana and Ortiz will face the team of Young Bucks.

A video was played where we witnessed what drives Cody Rhodes to be a best in the world and how he remains on the top in this business.

Match 3: Britt Baker vs. AEW Women’s Champion Riho – AEW Women’s Championship match.

Bell rings, Baker and Riho lock horns as the referee releases it as Riho touched the ring ropes. Baker then takes Riho out with arm drag takedown twice and attacks her with a half nelson take down later. Baker continues to dominate Riho with jaw lock submission, as Riho touches the ropes the referee breaks the hold.

Later, Riho was seen holding Baker in a waist lock, as Baker breakes it Riho attacks her. Riho climbs the ropes as lands on her feet as Baker rolls out. Baker then knocks Riho on the ring canvas and goes for the pin as she kicks out at two counts.

Baker then delivers and a superkick to Riho and goes for the pin as she kicks out again. Riho then stands up and slaps Baker followed by a reverse suplex and goes for the pin and ends up with two counts. Riho then holds Baker in an ankle lock as Baker holds the ring rope to release the hold. Baker then attacks Riho and goes for the count, as Riho kicks out.

Later, Riho goes for a running kick from coast to coast, Baker moves out and punches Riho and hold her in a jaw lock. Riho quickly rolls over and pins Baker to retain her title.

Winner: And still AEW Women’s Champion Riho.

The commentary team announced that Christopher Daniels is out of danger now.

Match 4: AEW World Tag Team Titles Tournament First Round Match: Lucha Bros (Pentagón Jr. and Fénix) vs. Jungleboy and Marko Stunt.

Bell ring, Pentagón and Stunt start the match, Pentagón bullies Stunt by mocking his short hight and pushed him, as Pentagón goes to punch Stunt he bites his hand, Jungleboy enters the ring to save Stunt. Seeing this Fénix enters the ring and kicks Stunt.

Later JungleBoy carries Stunt and slams him over Pentagón and goes for the pin as it ended at two counts. Jungleboy then throws Stunt over Pentagón, Pentagón hits a clothesline. Pentagón then tags Fénix. As Fénix goes for rolls over slam, Jungleboy kicks him and he desperately tags Pentagón. Pentagón delivers a power slam to Stunt and goes for the pin as he kicks out at two.

Frustrated Pentagón hits a superkick to Stunt and he then argues with the referee. Pentagón and Fénix tag each other frequently and attacks Stunt by hitting him with chest chops.

After the commercial, Pentagón continues to dominate Stunt in the ring. Pentagón tags Fénix, both Stunt and Jungleboy hits a 450 standing splash and goes for the pin as he kicks out at two. Fénix then tags Pentagón, both Fénix and Pentagón attacks Stunt with a unique behind the neck kick – as Pentagón throws him up in the air, Fénix then attacks Jungleboy out of the ring as Pentagón pins Stunt.

Winner: Lucha Bros (Pentagón Jr. and Fénix).

Match 5: Jon Moxley and PAC vs. Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page.

Bell ring, Omega quickly attacks Moxley and PAC. Legal men in the ring, Omega and Moxley. PAC tags himself in as he and Moxley attack Omega together. Moxley tags himself in the ring and attacks Omega with punches after punches. Seeing an opening to attack, Omega hits a fisherman suplex to Moxley and tags Page.

After the commercial, legal men in the ring, Moxley and Page. Both men were seen attacking each other in the ring, Moxley tags PAC as together delivered a fisherman suplex to Page.

Later, Omega hits PAC with a springboard kick and goes for the pin, PAC kicks out at two. Then Omega hits a suicide dive to Moxley out of the ring. Later, Omega and Page together attack PAC and goes for the pin as Moxley comes for rescuing his partner.

Later, legal men Omega and Moxley lock horns in the ring and exchanges chest chops to each other. Both men went under the ring as they get a weapon each and marches to attack each other. Seeing this PAC tries to stops Moxley, Moxley hits his partner as walks away. Seeing this Page hits a reverse piledriver to PAC and pins him to gain victory for his team.

Winner: Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page.

Match announced for next week, Jon Moxley vs. PAC.

Match 6: Philadelphia Street Fight: Darby Allin vs. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho – AEW World Championship match.

Bell rings, Allin goes straight to attack Jericho. Jericho rolls out of the ring and tries to pull Allin out of the ring, Allin moves out of the way. Jericho enters the ring and attacks Allin, Allin rolls Jericho from behind and goes for the pin as it ended in two counts.

Later, Jericho was seen dominating Allin in the ring by brutally attacking him. After the commercial, Jericho was seen in the ring with a kendo stick and chocking Allin’s neck and hits him on the back of his head. Jericho climbs the ropes and tries to hit Allin from the top, only to get a right-hand punch by Allin. Allin picks up the kendo stick and attacks Jericho with it.

Later, Allin was seen holding Jericho in a jaw lock, to which Jericho turns it into a sharpshooter. Allin holds the ropes thus breaking the hold and hits Jericho with the kendo stick once again. Jericho then gains control over the match by introducing a steel chair to the ring and hits Allin with it.

Jericho then places the steel chair to the ring turnbuckle, as The Champion goes to slam Allin to the placed chair, Allin delivers a stunner to Jericho and goes for the pin as he kicks out. Jericho then holds Allin in a sharpshooter, he himself releases it only to get a duct taps and ties Allin’s both hands from behind.

As Allin’s hands are tied now, Jericho tossed him from ring coast to coast. Despite being tied Allin, delivers a lion sault to Jericho and goes for the pin but ends up in two counts. Allin continued to attack Jericho and again goes for the pin as again it ends up in two counts.

Jericho then picks Allin’s skateboard, places it in the ring and delivers and powerbomb to by throwing Allin to it and goes for the pin as he kicks out at two counts. Seeing an opportunity Allin goes over the ropes, out of nowhere Jack Hager appears and punches him on his face as Jericho pins him for victory.

Winner: And still AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

After the match, all associates wrestlers with The Champion comes out and celebrates his victory.
