WWE Clash of Champions 2019 – 9/15/19 – 15th September 2019 Live Result

Tonight, Universal Champion Seth Rollins against Braun Strowman, and The Beastslayer and The Monster Among Men will also team together to defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Also, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston against Randy Orton, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch against Sasha Banks, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley against Charlotte Flair, Roman Reigns against Erick Rowan and much more.

Match 1: Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Lince Dorado – Triple threat match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

As bell rings, all men attack each other and takes the match out of the ring. Later in the ring, Gulak was seen holding Carrillo in a submission. Carrillo breaks the hold and attacks Gulak and also attacks Dorado who was entering the ring. Gulak gains momentum and attacks Carrillo and throws him out of the ring and attacks Dorado.

Later, Carrillo enters the ring and attacks Gulak with a flipping moon sault, Gulak then falls out of the ring, seeing this Carrillo delivers a suicide dive to Gulak and Dorado and pushes then into the ring. Carrillo then goes to deliver and moon sault to Gulak, Gulak doesn’t allow it and Carrillo holds him in a submission, seeing this Dorado hold Carrillo in a sleeper hold – which resulted into a double submission hold.

Later, Dorado was seen delivering Hurricanrana to Carrillo and goes for the Shooting Star Press as Carrillo lifts his leg and hurts Dorado. Seeing this opportunity Carrillo attacks Dorado. Gulak enters the ring and attacks Carrillo with his finisher Cyclone Crash and pins him for victory.

Winner: Drew Gulak.

Match 2: AJ Styles vs. Cedric Alexander – WWE United States Championship match.

Bell rings, Alexander quickly attacks Styles and goes for the pin as Styles rolls out of the ring. Alexander then goes for the suicide dive and throws Styles into the ring and again tries to pin him as he kicks out. Frustrated Styles the brutally attacks Alexander in and out of the ring.

As Styles continues to punish Alexander in the ring, Alexander hits Styles with a back elbow and continues to kick him, Styles quickly delivers a DDT to Alexander and goes for the Phenomenal Forearm punch and followed by Styles Clash and pins him to retain his title.

Winner: AJ Styles.

After the match, The O.C enters the ring and attacks Alexander and walks away.

Match 3: Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler – WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.

Bell rings, Roode and Strowman start the match, Strowman did show Roode why he is the strongest wrestler on the roster by pushing him away. Roode then tags Ziggler, Roode then tries to sneak into the ring from behind to allow Ziggler to hold Strowman in a sleeper hold, Strowman breaks it and attacks Ziggler and tags Rollins. Ziggler tags Roode, Rollins attacks both of them. Roode and Ziggler attack Rollin in and out of the ring. Roode attacks Rollins and goes for the pin as he kicks out.

Roode then tags Ziggler, he was seen holding Rollins in submission and then attacking him. Ziggler then tags Roode, as Roode goes over the ropes to dive on him, Rollins attacks him and then Ziggler gets the tag. The Show Off holds Rollins in a sleeper hold and goes for the DDT, seeing this Rollins delivers falcon arrow to Ziggler and tags Strowman. Strowman enters the ring and attacks both Ziggler and Roode in an out of the ring.

As Strowman was attacking Ziggler in the ring, Roode tags himself from behind and attacks Strowman. Seeing this Rollins enters the ring and hits Roode with a Super Kick and delivers Suicide Dive to Ziggler out of the ring. As Rollins was entering the ring, Roode hits him with a Power Bomb and goes for the pin as Strowman breaks the count. Strowman again runs into the ring and mistakenly hits Rollins which allowed Roode to hit Rollins with a Glorious DDT and pins him to win the title.

Winner: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler – New WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Strowman blames Rollins for the loss in an interview and he will make sure that Rollins will lose his Universal Championship later tonight.

Backstage, Becky Lynch talks about how she will bring a beatdown to Sasha Banks and will retain her title.

Match 4: Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Bell rings, Charlotte kicks Bayley on the face and goes for the pin as she kicks out and rolls out of the ring. Later, in the ring, Charlotte was seen dominating Bayley in the ring with kicks and punches, Charlotte then tries to pin as again Bayley kicks out at two. Charlotte pulls Bayley out of the ring and slams her to the ringside barricade numerous times.

Later, in the ring, Charlotte was seen delivering elbow punches and kicks as she goes for the Figure Eight move, Bayley rolls Charlotte for a pin and The Queen kicks out.

The referee stops Charlotte for her attacking brutally, Bayley was seen removing the ring turnbuckle and slammed Charlotte to the exposed turnbuckle and pins Charlotte for victory.

Winner: Bayley.

Match 5: The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) – WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Bell rings, Woods and Wilder start the match, Wilder goes straight to Wood’s knee and kept on attacking it. As Dawson was trying to sneak from behind to attacks Woods, seeing this Big E delivers a clothesline out of the ring to Dawson. Big E gets the tag.

Later, Big E was seen being attacked by Wilder and tags Dawson, The Revival kept on tagging each other and controlled Big E with a submission move. Dawson was then seen holding Big E in body scissors in the middle of the ring. Big E gains control and attacks Dawson and tags Woods. Woods enters and attacks both Dawson and Wilder in the ring. Woods then delivers a DDT to Dawson and goes for the pin as Wilder attacks him. Seeing this Big E runs towards Wilder only to get thrown himself out of the ring.

Wood was seen attacking Dawson, as Wilder attacks him on his knee, Dawson then rips Woods knee pad holds Woods in a knee submission, to which Woods taps out.

Winner: The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) – New WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Match 6: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Bell rings, Rose and Cross start the match, Rose slammed Cross in the middle of the ring and went to pose looking at Bliss. Seeing this Cross attacks Rose. Rose the tags Deville and Cross then tag Bliss. Deville attacks Bliss and tags Rose.

Rose was seen getting beat up by Bliss. During the match, R Truth was seen running into the ring along with other WWE Superstars. Seeing this Bliss tries to pin Truth for the 24/7 Championship as Truth kicks out. Truth then runs away.

Later, Both Rose and Deville were seen attacking Bliss as Deville goes for the pin which ends up in two counts. Bliss then tags Cross into the ring, she was seen attacking Deville and goes over the ropes and hits splash over her and goes for the pin as Deville kicks out.

Cross then tags Bliss, Deville attacks Bliss and tags Rose. They hit a double team to Bliss and goes for the pin as Cross saves the count. Bliss then desperately tags Cross, she enters the ring and delivers a springboard reverse DDT and pins Rose for victory.

Winner: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

Match 7: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz – WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Bell rings, as Nakamura and Miz lock horns, Sami Zayn grabs the mic and does some live commentary to distract Miz. Later, Nakamura was seen dominating Miz in the ring with the kicks to the chest. Miz gets up and goes towards the ropes and as Nakamura goes to kick, Miz blocks it and kicks on Nakamura’s hamstring and continues to attack him with a flying double hand drop from the top of the ropes and goes for the pin as Nakamura kicks out.

Nakamura quickly turns it to a cross armbar as Miz breaks it, Miz then delivers and DDT to Nakamura and goes again for the pin as Nakamura kicks out. As Miz sets up for the IT kicks, Nakamura holds his leg and rolls him over and goes for the pin and Miz kicks out. Nakamura was then seen slamming Miz to the ring and set up for Kinshasa as Miz avoids it and holds Nakamura in a Figure Four submission.

Nakamura breaks it by holding the ropes, and as Miz goes to kick Nakamura, Zayn holds his leg which allowed Nakamura to kick Miz on the back of his head and goes for the pin as Miz kicks out at two.

Nakamura again sets up for Kinshasa, Miz turns it into Skull Crushing Finale and goes for the pin and Zayn tries to enter the ring only to distract the referee. Seeing this Miz runs towards Zayn out of the ring only to get beat up by Nakamura. In the ring, Nakamura hits Miz with a Kinshasa and pins him for victory.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura.

Match 8: Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks – WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Bell rings, Lynch goes and slaps Banks in the middle of the ring, Banks gets up and goes to kick Lynch, Lynch holds her leg and attacks her and goes for Dis-arm-her as Banks rolls out of the ring.

Later, Lynch kick on Banks face with her boots twice and goes over the ropes as Banks attacks Lynch and kicks right to her spine. Banks was then seen dominating Lynch in the ring and continued to punish her with submission and then attacks her by running double knee to Lynch’s face.

Later, Lynch was seen getting beat up by Banks, Lynch gains momentum and delivers numerous clothesline to her. Banks quickly hold Lynch in a Banks Statement as Lynch kicks out and goes over the ropes and hits a splash to Banks and goes for the pin as Banks kicks out at two.

Banks was then seen attacking Lynch and tried to pin her as she kicks out. Banks then launches her self with a double knee kick to Lynch as she turns it into Dis-arm-her as Banks hold the ropes as the referee breaks the hold.

Later, Banks was seen attacking with a chair which the referee didn’t see it, Lynch grabs the chair and mistakenly attacks the official with the chair and as Bank see it she runs away, Lynch runs behind her and Lynch attacks her near the audience. Banks tries to run away, Lynch then attacks her near the exit area of the arena. Lynch drags Banks towards the ring as Banks also attacks her. In the ring, Banks received numerous chair shots and the Lynch. The officials come to save Banks from Lynch.

Winner: Becky Lynch – Via Disqualification.

Match 9: Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton – WWE Championship.

Bell rings, Orton and Kingston start slow. This is likely because they’re following a hot match and want to restart the crowd, but it’s also vintage Orton.

The wrestling here is actually very tight. The two exchange snug shots and Orton end up bumping Kingston out of the ring. He then follows up with suplexes all around the outside area, including two on the announce table.

The pace slows down though as Orton picks apart Kingston. Eventually, Kingston mounts a comeback, but it’s not a particularly vigorous one. He goes for a Trouble in Paradise, but Orton counters with a nice neck breaker. Kingston gets some of that missing fire, though, with a huge over-the-top-rope dive.

Orton regains control and there’s more slow-paced dissection. He sets up an RKO but Kingston counters into a rollup. Kingston starts a comeback but is cut off with an RKO outta’ nowhere. Kingston gets a foot on the rope at 2. Orton goes for his infamous punt but Kingston dodges and nails a Trouble in Paradise to retain.

Winner: Kofi Kingston.

Match 10: Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan – No Disqualification match.

Bell rings, Not much to this match. It’s no DQ, so it’s just a bunch of brawling outside the ring. Rowan has improved his intensity a great deal, but the crowd doesn’t buy him as a threat to Reigns. Which is a shame, because the match was just Rowan beating down Reigns, trying to convince the audience he’s a threat to Reigns.

One moment did impress the crowd. On the outside, Reigns jumps from the steel stairs for an elevated Superman Punch, but Rowan counters by grabbing him by the throat and pulling him up for a huge powerbomb through an announcer’s table. This gets Rowan a 2 count.

Match ends when a returning Luke Harper blocks a spear attempt from Reigns. Harper and Rowan double team Reigns. Rowan gets the win.

Winner: Erick Rowan.

Match 11: Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman – WWE Universal Championship.

Bell rings, Hot start, with Strowman bulldozing Rollins and going for his power slam finish. Rollins escapes works over Strowman’s legs and hits three superkicks followed by a frog splash. Rollins is so good. Two counts. Good action, with Rollins springboarding all over the place and Strowman showing great intensity.

The crowd is quiet, tired from a long and only OK show. Strowman hits his running shoulder tackle on the outside twice, but Rollins sidesteps him on the third one. Strowman crashes through an announce table, and Rollins hits dual suicide dives. The two end up fighting on the turnbuckle, and Strowman eventually hits a frog splash from the top. Props.

We get a light, polite “this is awesome” chant. Rollins locks in a sleeper hold but Strowman rolls out. Rollins hits a curb stomp for one count. He hits another for a two count. The third stomp for another two counts. Rollins goes for fourth but Strowman counters, hoisting him up for a power slam. Strowman’s leg gives out, Rollins nails a pedigree and then a final curb stomp for the pin.

Winner: Seth Rollins.

After the match, Rollins is attacked by Bray Wyatt, aka The Fiend. They’ll wrestle next month at Hell in a Cell.
