Bad news for WWE Superstars who are earning their extra income from Twitch and Cameo, it’s been said that WWE will be taking over these account within the next four weeks.
Now Sportskeeda has more an update on this, ‘Vince McMahon sent another email to the Superstars this week, reminding them that they have until Friday, October 2, to end any ‘unauthorized business relationships’ with third-party platforms. It was added that the Superstars who fail to comply with the rule would either be fined, suspended, or fired from the company.’
To add more to this story, 411Mania reported, ‘It was noted that a message was also sent to Performance Center trainees this week asking them to shut down or make their Cameo pages unbookable. It was noted that more details would come soon, and they eventually did. WWE had finalized an agreement to keep wrestlers on Cameo and told them how to “opt-in.” Payments for the service will now go through WWE.’
Now the wrestlers will be facing a downside on their income outside WWE, but WWE will be giving them a percentage from it.
Andrew Yang who was dropped out of the Presidential election said, This would be infuriating to me if I had spent time building up my social media channels only to have WWE take them over from their ‘independent contractors.’ People are angry and rightfully so.’
