WATCH: WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 11/23/19 Online

For the first time, there will be two WarGames Matches in one night. In the first, NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley will lead teams into the brutal, double-cage battle ground. In the second, Tommaso Ciampa leads Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and a fourth team member to be named into battle against The Undisputed ERA. Plus, Finn Bálor returns to action inside an NXT ring for the first time in over 3 years against Matt Riddle.

WWE NXT Takeover begins and Mia Yim was seen attacked backstage by an unknown person.

Match 1: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Angel Garza – Singles match.

Bell rings, both men went straight to attack each other by physically matching strength. Later, Garza was seen controlled by Scott and being slammed face-first to the ring.

Scott then hits an uppercut to the back of Garza’s neck, Garza gains momentum and hits a flying body splash from the top of the ropes to Scott and hits a superkick and goes for the pin as it ends up in two counts.

Scott then tries to defend himself and hits a reverse suplex to Garza and goes for the pin as it ends up in two counts. Seeing this Garza attacks Scott, Scott turns the attacks and slams Garza to the ring and goes for the pin as he kicks out.

Later, chest chops were exchanged and Garza slams Scott with a rope spring power slam and goes for the pin as he kicks out. Both men climb the ropes, Scott throws Garza out of the ring and attacks him and pushes him into the ring and delivers and kick to his face and goes for the pin as he kicks out. Garza then delivers a Wing Clipper finisher and pins Scott for victory.

Winner: Angel Garza.

As Mia Yim was attacked backstage during WWE NXT Takeover pre-show so Dakota will be replacing her.

Match 2: Team Ripley (Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Dakota) vs. Team Baszler (Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and Kay Lee Ray) – WarGames Match.

– The first two in the ring are Io Shirai and Candice LeRae.

– Next in is Bianca Belair.

– Next in is Rhea Ripley, who brings in some trash cans, kendo sticks, chairs and even though the crowd booed that she didn’t bring in tables, Ripley is coming off OVER AF.

– Kay Lee Ray is out, looking for more chairs. She teases bringing in a table and the fans cheer, but she puts it back. Nice!

– Dakota Kai is next and she attacks Tegan Nox in the cage! Heel turn! She even struck William Regal. Obviously, she’s not going to be on Team Ripley.

– Shayna Baszler is next.

– Nox and Kai have been ruled out and the match officially has begun as 4-on-2.

Winner: Team Ripley wins by pinfall (Ripley pins Baszler).

Match 3: Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match: Killian Dain vs. Pete Dunne vs. Damian Priest.

I was impressed by Priest and very disappointed in Dain. For someone his size, he failed to be the “big man” in the match, which was strange to see. Dunne has had much better matches with greater ease, too. This was fine, but it did feel underwhelming as a follow-up to the WarGames match.

Winner: Pete Dunne.

Match 4: Finn Balor vs. Matt Riddle.

Thoughts: Very underwhelming. I wasn’t a big fan of this at all.

Winner: Finn Balor wins by pinfall with the 1916 DDT.

Match 5: Men’s WarGames Match: The Undisputed ERA vs. Tommaso Ciampa, Dominik Dijakovic, Keith Lee and TBA.

– They’re waiting on the mystery partner even as the match begins.

– Starting things off are Tommaso Ciampa and Roderick Strong.

– Kyle O’Reilly is next.

– Dominik Dijakovic comes in.

– Next is Bobby Fish.

– Keith Lee enters the fray.

– Adam Cole rounds out Team Undisputed ERA.

– The final member of Team Ciampa is Kevin Owens.

Winner: Team Ciampa wins by pinfall (Ciampa pins Cole).
