WWE Raw – 6th July 2020 Result And Review

Preview: When you mess with one member of “The Golden Role Models,” the other won’t be far behind. After Asuka derailed Sasha Banks’ match against Io Shirai with a green mist attack, Bayley & The Boss were livid and promised that The Empress of Tomorrow was going to pay.

The show begins, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way out to the ring and asks the challenger Dolph Ziggler which stipulation has chosen for their match at Extreme Rules. Ziggler replied to it saying that he will not reveal the stipulation yet, Ziggler then brings out Heath Slater who was fired from WWE.

Slater spoke about how McIntyre has changed since becoming the WWE Champion and reminded him that, when McIntyre was fired, Slater used to call him every day. McIntyre never did the same for Slater since April. The only time they spoke was during an episode of WWE The Bump! McIntyre did promise Slater for a match in that show and Slater asked for the match tonight. Slater then slapped McIntyre which fired the match for later tonight.

Match 1. Drew McIntyre vs. Heath Slater.

Bell rings, McIntyre wins the match with a Claymore within seconds. After the match Ziggler attacks Slater, McIntyre saves him.

Winner: Drew McIntyre.

In the ring, Bayley and Sasha Banks talk about their matches for Extreme Rules. Hearing them, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka comes out with her long time friend Kairi Sane and tells that she will win her match tonight against Bayley and also against Banks at Extreme Rules.

Match 2: Kairi Sane vs. Sasha Banks.

Bell rings, as Asuka and Bayley will face each other in a Champion vs. Champion match later tonight. Before that showdown, Sane and Banks squared up in a one on one action, which many fans thought that they will never see Sane in the WWE ring as she was close to retiring from wrestling after the attack from Nia Jax a few weeks ago. Both women showcased an amazing fight, but the match got disqualified as Bayley attacked Sane, when Sane was holding Banks in another variation of Boston Crab.

Winner: Kairi Sane via Disqualification.

Backstage, Aleister Black was seen in pain.

Backstage, The Viking Raiders was seen with Big Show where they spoke about their match later tonight against Randy Orton.

In the ring, Kevin Owens kicks off The Kevin Owens Show and calls out his guest “Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins. Owens then gifts Rollins a t-shirt, which he wore at in his winning match at Wrestlemania 36 (READ/WATCH) against Rollins. Rollins then challenged Rey Mysterio for a match at Extreme Rules. Mysterio then comes out and accepts the challenge.

Match 3: Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy vs. Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens – The winning team will pick the stipulation for Extreme Rules.

Before the bell rings, all men got engaged in a fight. Bell rings, with Rollins attacking Mysterio almost every week on Raw, Mysterio is sick of it and seeks to finish this for once and for all at The Horror Show Extreme Rules. Winning this match is very important as the winning team will get to pick the stipulation for their match. Mysterio did pick the win for his team by pinning by Murphy after a 619 followed by a Frog Splash. After the match, Mysterio then declares that he will face Rollins in an eye-for-an-eye match at The Horror Show Extreme Rules.

Winner: Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens.

In the ring, MVP and Bobby Lashley talks about the current United States Champion Apollo Crews, as MVP will be facing Crews for the US title at The Horror Show Extreme Rules. MVP then revealed the new United States Championship title which he says that he will win for the third time in his career. Bobby Lashley then claimed MVP as the new United States champion and makes him wear the belt, seeing this Ricochet and Cedric Alexander comes to the ring and attacks them.

Match 4: Bobby Lashley and MVP vs. Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.

Bell rings, as MVP and Lashley injured Crews last week on Raw, Ricochet, and Alexander step up to fight for their friend. The team of Lashley and MVP won after Lashley delivered a vicious spear to Alexander.

Winner: Bobby Lashley and MVP.

Backstage, Andrade and Angle Garza with Zelina Vega were seen with Ric Flair and Randy Orton for their match next against Big Show and The Viking Raiders.

Match 5: Randy Orton, Andrade and Angle Garza vs. Big Show, and The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar).

Bell rings Since Big Show is back on Raw, Randy Orton and Ric Flair have been trying to take out Big Show in very way possible, as Big Show is an active wrestler for a long time and wrestlers of his age are mostly retired, taking out Big Show will make Orton’s ‘Legend Killer’ going strong. Last week Big Show defeated Andrade and Garza in a handicap match (READ/WATCH). This week Big Show got some help from The Viking Raiders for a six-man tag team match. A point during the match, Orton tagged himself in and delivered an RKO to Erik and pins him for the victory.

Winner: Randy Orton, Andrade, and Angle Garza.

Backstage, Cedric Alexander was asked by MVP in a way to join his team and be successful in WWE.

Backstage, 24/7 Champion R Truth ran into Randy Orton and Ric Flair.

Match 6: Ruby Riott vs. Billy Kay.

Bell rings, last week Riott was defeated by Peyton Royce (READ/WATCH), this week she faces the other half of The IIconics, Billy Kay. Kay won the match eventually. Riott lost her match two weeks in a row.

Winner: Billy Kay.

Match 7: Raw Women’s Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley – Champion vs. Champion Match.

Bell rings, after Asuka interfered Sasha Banks’ match against Io Shirai with a green mist attack (READ/WATCH), Bayley & The Boss vowed to make The Empress of Tomorrow pay for this. Banks is all set to face Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, before that Bayley will have a chance to send a message. Asuka heads focused into this match as Banks pinned the Raw Women’s Champion in a Mixed Tag Team Match on last week’s Raw (READ/WATCH).

With the distraction from Nikki Cross, Asuka pinned Bayley as Sane delivered a Spear to Banks as she was trying to stop the pinfall.

Winner: Asuka.
